SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT RESEARCH
"TransSLO is an excellent example of a project with a relatively small budget that produces a large impact and market uptake"
Ms Luisa Prista, Head of Unit for Surface Transport, European Commission DG-RTD (2008)
The TransSLO project began in December 2007 and was a Targeted Specific Support Action in the New Member State of The Republic of Slovenia in the thematic area of sustainable development, global change and ecosystems - Sustainable Transport.

TransSLO is assessed the transport research capability in Slovenia and facilitated the involvement of Slovenian organisations in European projects by identifying key representative individuals and organisations and promoting collaboration in the 25 EU member states and associated countries.   Analysis was carried out using a systems approach considering the skills and innovations of Slovenia.

This project was supported by the Slovenian Ministry of Transport, particularly Mr Peter Verlic, State Secretary for Transport.
