ITS- A CONDITION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND PROSPERITY OF A MODERN AND SAFE TRANSPORT
ITS offers excellent support in planning, control, managing and ensuring transport services in road, railway, air and sea transportation. Integrating the currently available and emerging information, computer, communications and vehicle-sensing technologies into a transport infrastructure and vehicles these technologies helps monitoring and managing traffic flows, reduces congestion and pollutant emission, enhances safety, security, productivity, mobility and saves lives, time and money.
The objective of this Symposium is to promote the strategic objective of integration and strengthening of the European Research Area in Slovenia in the New Member States, Accession States and nearby countries in the thematic area of Sustainable Transport.
