This highly successful workshop was attended mainly by transport research experts and researchers from across Slovenia and other EU member states. The workshop began with introductions from Mr Radovan Zerjav, Minister for Transport and Mr Peter Verlic, State Secretary for Transport. The European Commission was represented by Ms Susanna Martins of DG Research. A feature of this workshop was the use of the "Turning Point" digital voting system, which took the form of interactive voting sessions and facilitated in highlighting the Slovenian research excellence in the areas of Maritime, Air, Road and Rail. The results of the interactive voting sessions were collated, ranked and validated, which defined the feedback that determined transport-related issues; the major issues and how experts felt they could be solved.
The second half of the morning was filled with transport research experts from the areas of Intermodal transport; Road, Air, Maritime and Rail. These speakers presented thier state-of the-art research in their field of expertise. Copies of their presentations can be downloaded below.
